Summer 2011/2012

 With the election and the World Cup out of the way, it must be time to relax now! Another year is drawing to an end and the warm months are upon us.

 We have a lot of new things in store to brighten up your Summer wardrobe and add to your gift baskets – new shirtings, silks, cufflinks and of course new ties.

Shirts

Just arrived: Italian linen shirtings. We have some truly beautiful new linens in store now – very soft quality fabrics that will make wonderful summer shirts for men or women. Among the plain colours are a bright jade green and a cobalt blue that are already selling fast. There are also some patterned linens this season, including a vivid white with a plum floral print on it we’ve made as women’s shirts. Limited editions of all these cloths, so be in quick!

Our women’s silk shirts have proved increasingly popular and this season is no exception. New in store is a range of silk satins in beautiful shades – Mulberry, Hyacinth, Duck Egg and Silver. Also a sandwashed natural silk that will make a soft, classic shirt for men or women.

Many more fabrics have arrived recently too – embroidered cottons and printed lawns for casual Summer shirts, French oxfords and Egyptian cottons for business shirts. And of course all our shirts can be made to measure for the perfect fit.

Ties

New ties arrive in store weekly and we’ve just taken delivery of our new range of brocades. These are a silk/rayon mix with a pattern of birds in trees reminiscent of a retro Shanghai look. There’s nine different colourways from plain teal and red to bold striking contrasts of purple/blue and emerald/scarlet. We stocked this design last season and the whole range sold out in a few weeks – so don’t miss out, as they are in very limited editions of only a few ties per colour.

Cufflinks

A set of cufflinks makes the prefect Christmas gift and two new ranges are in store now: new designs in our sterling silver cufflinks and cuff studs – including mother-of-pearl and paua designs, and new colours in the enamel range – and a stunning set of new designs from Loma, the US brand of bold geometric designs based on the Arts – their Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles remain popular and this season they’ve added Pop Art-inspired designs to the range. 

With so many new things in store now and arriving soon, there’s definitely plenty of ideas here for Christmas gifts or treats for yourself.
